Whiskey Ain't Talking is the first song ever written from the album Americana And Whatever's Left. It is also the only co-written song on the entire album. This song was written by Charlie Cope and Mr. Nobody (from Dead Cinema). Charlie and Mr. Nobody drew from classic country and 70's rock influences to create this instant classic love ballad. As Charlie continues to fight his personal demons, he has to fight external battles as well to make things right with the girl that he loves.

Lyrics

I guess I got a reputation for getting carried away
I loose control of the things I do and the things I say
The bottle starts walking and the devil starts talking you out of my head
But that was the old me and he is good as dead

The Whiskey Ain't Talking
It ain't saying I need you
It ain't the things I'd take
Or anything else I used to

The Whiskey Ain't Talking
It ain't saying how much I care
Because you know that I do
Whiskey Ain't Talking
That's just me to you

I ain't used to feeling this way
I get a little nervous I'm not sure what to say
With you by my side I can't go wrong
Let me tell you what I mean in the words of this song

Whiskey Ain't Talking
It ain't saying I need you
It ain't the things I'd take
Or anything else I used to do

Whiskey Ain't Talking
It ain't saying how much I care
Because you know that I do
Whiskey Ain't Talking
That's just me to you
